Energy

The energy industry is a driving force behind socio-economic development. While the sector brings benefits to the society, it also negatively increases CO2 levels in the atmosphere. The EU’s energy policy aims at decreasing CO2 emissions by supporting sustainable technological developments which can make a carbon-neutral future possible.

To achieve this, researchers, industry players, policy makers, and the society need to combine their efforts. By bringing together interdisciplinary knowledge and expertise from fields such as physics, engineering, computer science and other, energy research infrastructures enable us to achieve a sustainable, carbon-neutral future.
